Members of the Pennsylvania Wilds Astronomy Club now can sign out club-owned loaner telescopes. Currently a Meade 90 mm Maksutov reflector is available (best for planets, the moon, and double stars). A standard Orion StarBlast “Library” telescope will soon join it–we just need to complete modifications into the standard library configuration at a future work-session. The library telescope is a 4.25″ f/4 Newtonian, best for wide field objects. That will be followed by a Meade 4″ SCT–a good lightweight general purpose scope, currently awaiting a mount.
These telescopes are available for loan to any adult member of the club.
